During 1980s and early 90s I was a very active listener of RN English Service and it's most famous program "Happy Station" hosted by Tom Meyer. I have also contributed to RN program "Media Network" hosted by Jonathan Marks. It was during that period that I was active in DXing and sent regular reception reports to DW, RN, BRT and some other stations. Collecting QSL cards was my 2nd hobby after SWLing. (See my article on DXing at http://www.webbozz.com/articles/dx.htm

Radio Netherlands is a great listen on shortwave. For some time RN was carried on the local AM in my area during the "Washington Post Radio" experiment. It was used as nighttime filler. Guess that means for a little over a year RN was available on the east coast via AM-1500. Neato.

Having WRN on Sirius is VERY nice. It's pretty much half the reason I subscribe. I also enjoy CBC Radio 1, which can also be found on shortwave (6160 & 9625). XM carries the real BBC-WS feed with a variety of music/talk shows (Sirius has the news-only feed). I use those as a nice compliment to my shortwave habit. They also go in the car better :D
